Meetings and binge eating with friends is something that you planned for months, and is that in general, the football fan can not see a party you do not have snacks and drinks on the table. According to a study in the UK, one in ten British football fans will consume about 20 cans and 20 pints of beer during the World Cup in South Africa, which will result in a significant increase in overweight men between the population of that country. The team of Ron Maughan, professor of sports nutrition at the University of Loughborough, also found that one in seven football fans consume about 10 pizzas in the course of the entire competition. “Eating and drinking well now and then does not hurt, but our research suggests that some men who see the World will consume an awful lot of junk food,” said Maughan.
