Exercise may Relieve Symptoms of Menopause

 title=We already have tried on many occasions that food in some form or another, can be really beneficial to women during menopause, reducing their symptoms. Not surprisingly, bamboo (with remineralizing properties), alfalfa, soybeans, or yam, has shown it can be really effective.

However, today we bring you an interesting story that deals with a study conducted recently by researchers at Pennsylvania, where it has been shown that exercise helps relieve some symptoms of menopause, such as depression, stress or anxiety.

It was found that the level of anxiety, stress and depression was significantly lower among physically active postmenopausal women, unlike those that had a significantly lower activity.

The research was carried out over a period of eight years from 1996, which studied a total of 380 women with a mean age of 42.

Cervical Cancer Treatment

Radiation therapyThere are treatments for all patients with cervical cancer. Uses three kinds of treatment:

  • Surgery (removing the cancer in an operation)
  • Radiation therapy (high-energy radiation to kill cancer cells).
  • Chemotherapy (drugs or “poison” to kill cancer cells).

The cancer can be removed using one of the following:

  • Cryosurgery involves the removal of the cancer by freezing.
  • The laser surgery is the use of a beam of intense light to kill cancer cells.
  • Conization is the removal of a piece of fabric into a cone shape at the location of the abnormality. It is used for biopsies, but also for treatment of early cancers of the cervix.
  • Electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) uses an electric current passes through a thin wire loop, which serves as a blade.
  • A hysterectomy is an operation that removes the entire uterus, including the entire cervix and the cancer.

Stadium or Stage of Cervical Cancer

Stage O

Stage O or carcinoma in situ. Carcinoma in situ is very early cancer. Abnormal cells are found only in the first layer of cells lining the cervix, and do not invade deeper tissues of the cervix.

Stage I

Cancer involves the cervix but has not spread to the surroundings.

Ia: a very small amount of cancer, visible only by microscope, is already in the deeper tissue of the cervix.

Ib: a larger amount of cancer found in this tissue.

What is Cervical Cancer?

Cytology for Cervical CancerCervical cancer is a common type of cancer in women, and is a disease in which cells are cancerous (malignant) in the tissues of the cervix.

The uterus is the hollow organ, inverted pear-shaped, where a fetus grows. The neck or uterine cervix is an opening that connects the uterus to the vagina (birth canal).

Cervical cancer begins to grow slowly. Before appearing cancer cells in the cervix, normal tissues of the cervix go through a process known as dysplasia, in which abnormal cells begin to appear.

A Pap smear staining usually find these pre-malignant cells. Subsequently, cancer cells start to grow and spread more deeply into the cervix and surrounding areas.

Diagnosis of DiabetesAn expert committee of the American Diabetes Association recently recommended a change in the names of the two main types of diabetes since the previous names generated confusion.

The type of diabetes known as type I, juvenile-onset diabetes or insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) is now known as type 1 diabetes. The type of diabetes known as Type II, noninsulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) or adult-onset diabetes is now type 2 diabetes. The new names reflect the effort to stop basing the names on treatment or age of onset.

Diabetes and Pregnancy

About 1 percent of all pregnant women have a condition that causes fear, most often due to lack of information, it is the glucose intolerance induced by pregnancy.

Formerly known as gestational diabetes, the nomenclature was changed just to avoid psychological problems and insecurity in the pregnant woman. This is a condition limited to the period of gestation and can be corrected simply with a diet after delivery.

Although it presents only a small proportion of pregnant women, is the largest endocrine pathology during pregnancy. This disease belongs to the group of disorders linked to heredity. The ethnic factor is also present. The populations of India and Micronesia are more prone to this condition.

Asthma: Causes and Treatment

Asthma is a chronic lung condition very common and occurs when our airways are narrowed because of an inflammation product of breathlessness. Not yet know what causes this disease, which is known is that it is not contagious.

During asthma attacks, said that according to people who suffer from it tend to be quite uncomfortable, and muscles bronchial tubes become inflamed and tighten, creating more phlegm than usual, which causes the airways to close and begin to feel the feeling of suffocation. Asthma symptoms can occur in several ways: feeling of pressure on the chest, difficulty breathing, extremely short, fast breaths, breathing heavily and wheezing and dizziness or lightheadedness. In extreme cases when the attack is extremely strong, the lips may be blue, rapid heartbeats and perspiration takes place. If this happens, relax, breathe slowly will happen. The worst is scared because the more breathing quickens and your heart rate and hyperventilation that can generate a trigger dizziness or fainting.
