FAGOMINA: The Molecule That Delays Hunger
The Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) has developed a biotechnological process to produce a natural molecule, the fagomina, which delays hunger. Marketing could begin later this year.
It is known that certain types of carbohydrates (refined sugars, integral cereals, potatoes, pasta …) are not recommended for those with weight problems. The reason is that very quickly metabolized by the body, thus producing a sharp rise in blood glucose.
