The Use of Calcium For Weight Loss
Calcium intake, either as foods high in it or in pill form, could serve to lose weight, according to some studies. But others deny this so strict, so we will wait for further research. In the meantime, and if not hurt us, it would not hurt, according to our doctor, we changed the menu a bit and look more sympathetic to the dairy and its derivatives.
A group of researchers from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) has conducted a systematic review of human studies and concluded that “increasing calcium intake in the diet can increase fat excretion in feces and may play a role relevant in the treatment of obesity and the prevention of increased body fat. ” The result of this research has been published in Obesity Reviews. ”
But not just them: there are many prestigious publications in linking calcium intake with weight loss, based on serious research support the argument stated above: take calcium thins as it makes more fat is removed by feces. Especially in people who previously were taking plenty of calcium. The source of this mineral should be dairy and its derivatives, in preference to calcium supplements (pills), but not excluding them.
The reason that calcium could be thinner that inhibits the formation of fat and promotes lipolysis or destruction of fat cells, according to a recent study by the University of Tennessee (USA), out on animals. Other research, as performed at Laval University (Canada), suggest that the brain could detect the lack of calcium and try to compensate by eating more food.
The problem is that other scientists disagree with this so far and require further investigation. For example, last year, a team from the University of North Carolina (USA) reviewed 49 studies on the subject and concluded that in 41 of them (84%) revealed no positive effects of calcium weight reduction, in 3 (6%) reported an increase and only 5 of them (10%) had a weight reduction.
At this, the ordinary people who are overweight is puzzled: what to do? Additional studies that can give or take away the reason to favor calcium intake may take many years to see the light and see if in the end or not there is unanimity. We recommend to act logically and sensibly. Keep in mind that many dairy products can be harmful to the health of some people, because of its high fat content.

Childhood Depression
For many years its existence has been denied in childhood. Currently it is considered that the child may also have depression in the psychiatric sense of the word, but should talk about it when it has a certain length and importance. Unlike the adult, the vast majority of children are reactive depressions, i.e., there is a cause in the environment: depressions by excessive demand (school), parental separation, loss of a loved one, etc. Usually manifested by discouragement and loss of pleasure or interest in playing. Also anorexia, weight loss or insomnia is symptoms.
It is also true that young children may have depression, one might speak of two forms: the so-called analytic depression, caused by a “lack of support” of the mother, usually to leave her after 6 months of age, after it had created the link. And the basin called “hospitality” in which the separation occurred before the mother created or strengthened the link (before 6 months of age). The latter form can become very serious if not treated before 5 months of age. It occurs in critically ill children from birth who are hospitalized but exceptionally long today because the current inpatient units allow a stay, however minimal, from mother to child.
